Jaci McCaskell Kulish, IBCLC

My name is Jaci (pronounced Jay-cee). I am an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), Certified Breastfeeding Specialist (CBS), and retired La Leche League Leader. I'm a mom to three kids (whom were all breastfed) and I've been supporting human milk feeding families since 2010.

My path to IBCLC began when I experienced difficulties breastfeeding my first baby. If I hadn't been able to get support locally my breastfeeding journey would have ended at six weeks. Soon after my second baby was born I became an accredited La Leche League Leader, and now six years after the birth of my third baby, I've earned the highest certification a lactation supporter can earn!

Along with my IBCLC training, I have additional training in oral function (including two years of hands-on experience working for On Spot Therapy's Lactation Station and have completed the IBCLC Masterclass in Oral Function and Tongue Tie. I also have taken training in supporting low milk supply and completed Guiding Bottle Breakthroughs, to assist families struggling with bottle refusals.

When I'm not helping families or hanging out with my family, you can find me putting together puzzles, painting, crafting, reading, or playing in Minnesota Lakes country.

Testimonials

"I wanted to follow up as *Baby* will be one tomorrow and I'm just reflecting, that after our session in March I did finally heal my nipple with time and patience using the nursicare/hydrogel combo. By early April it was fully healed and we have been successfully breastfeeding almost exclusively (and only on the right breast) ever since and going strong at one year!
Just wanted to say thank you. Without that session I likely would have given up. I have since referred another local mama to you and will continue to do so!"

"I would recommend Jaci to anyone going through a nursing journey, whether you're a first time mom or this is your 4th go-around. All my concerns were addressed and feelings validated. I am so thankful for Jaci's ideas, tips and insight to make my breastfeeding journey knowledgeable and an excellent experience."

"I found NPLS when I was pregnant with my first child and she help me feel so comfortable and confident when starting my breast feeding journey. Jaci listened to my concerns and made suggestions on how I could meet my goals. Now just having my second child, Jaci has helped me with latching issues and helped with different holds that are comfortable after having a c-section. I love that she checks in with you after your visit to see how things are going. Jaci genuinely cares about her clients!"

"Highly recommend Jaci for any lactation needs! I have met with her on three separate occasion. I first met Jaci during a prenatal visit where she answered all of my questions/worries. I felt so prepared to start my breastfeeding journey! I then saw her again once baby arrived for a check in to see how things were going and made sure I felt comfortable with everything. And finally for a solids appointment a few months later! She is very thorough during her appointments and always sends a follow up email with everything we talked about during the visit! (Thanks goodness because mom brain!) I always feels like I am able to reach out if I have any questions!"
